Does anyone know what cold cranking amps should be for an 82 GSL, And any ideas of good foodplaces to get a battery?

Just get an AGM battery in the correct dimensions and don't worry about any cranking amps.

And not too many "foodplaces" are going to carry those batteries.

Auto Zone, Discount Auto Parts, Wal-Mart and many others tend to carry the flooded (wet-cell) batteries, some of them will also carry an AGM version. Note that "AGM" is a construction style, not a brand name. It stands for "Absorbed Glass Mat". It is a sealed battery that is better than a standard flooded battery. Yes, it costs a bit more, but it won't puke acid all over your bike.
