    Gs400x flooding right plug problem

I own a gs400x. The right side has started misfiring. The points appear in order, however I believe the may need time adjustment. The bike has the most trouble at idle and lower speeds. Often I can keep it running as long as the bike is over 5k rpm. Also, the plug on the right side consistently has unburned gas left on it when I check it. One thing I do know is that side needs new shims.

Sounds like you know that maintenance is calling!
Does this bike have a vacuum style petcock? If so what carb has the vacuum connection?

per petcock.... i was thinking same thing, given the plug is wet. Be sure that gas is not getting down the petcock vacuum line into the engine. Look for a higher than normal oil level and Smell the dipstick.
But this bike has two sets of points doesn't it? so that's a possible.
Tune up time! If points are replaced, Be sure to replace points condensor and new spark plugs are a good idea at the same time.
