Everything is set ready to install, with an inline fuse, all the parts seem good. Has anyone used this guy. Looking to purchase soon as I'm close. Thanks.

Not really any different than the other sellers who do the same thing, though.
Posplayr does have a point. You could buy a SERIES R/R through Polaris, and wire it in properly, for less than you'll spend through EB.'83 GS650G

actually my point was, I would not trust him. Have you seen what the website says?

I guess this is what gets your ire up? Without mentioning they are a SHUNT (no heat savings) setup instead of SERIES.
These R/R units use Mosfets and run cooler, plus they’re more efficient. So if your stock R/R unit has burned out, maybe it’s time to move to a newer Mosfet type unit as shown here. Mosfet R/Rs model names start with the letters FH. Old type models start with SH. '83 GS650G

The website is referring to the SH as "Old type models".
Can you think of any other reason to make this explicit statement than to get rid of a large inventory of MOSFET R/R's ?
Doesn't making this statement call into question the veracity of the vendor?
I think the OP asked if they were trustworthy; do they appear so?Last edited by posplayr; 11-01-2015, 04:59 PM.

EB sells high quality connectors and 'open barrel' components. Good seller. Kinda high shipping.
For that particular harness section, check a few sources (including Dennis Kirk) to find the OEM Polaris for about $11 plus shipping. Same quality, much better price.
I don't know or care what kind of R/R he sells, since I'd go with the SH775 no matter what.and God said, "Let there be air compressors!"

OK, series it is. I've read through the reg rec page. Forgot the "series" identified part. Thanks. On to Polaris. I called them a week or so ago, the part is about $80. Dude kinda blanked on me, they didn't know they were used in other bikes. Thank you very much.... SACHSACA

The old Shindengen shunt R/R's had model numbers that started with SH.
Here is Steve's thread about how to get the cheapest SH775 price. And don't forget to purchase a Triumph harness while you are at it.Ed

I have ordered from Eastern Beaver several times, with absolutely no problems.
I think he is at least partly correct with his statement about the R/Rs, though. The MOSFET-based units do run cooler than the SCR-based ones. It is, however, rather unfortunate that the best units (the series units from Polaris) also share the "SH" in the part number.
I have one of the EB fuse boxes in each of my GSes, I really like them. I got the wiring harness for the first one. It's a quality piece of work, but I had to modify it a bit to fit it where I wanted, so I figured that I could make my own harness exactly the way I wanted, and do it for less, so I don't get the harness any more.
I have gotten connectors several times, but have now found them available at Cycle Re-Cycle 2.
You do have to watch the shipping charges for smaller orders. He has a minimum order of $20. If you start your order with smaller stuff, the shipping charges show up rather high, in the hundreds of dollars. Cross that $20 threshhold and the shipping gets right back down to 'normal'. Considering that your order shows up less than a week later, it's not bad at all.
Bottom line, feel free to order stuff from Eastern Beaver, but his MOSFET R/R is not the best R/R you can get.
