You sure you have the correct number of poles. IIRC the old were 16 pole and the new 18 pole. Maybe someone can chime in on the count.
    Is the leg to ground testing whether the stator wires show a resistance with the negative multimeter wire on the crank case? Because they all show a resistance.

      Leg to ground will show AC voltage if there is insulation breakdown to the case. Should be Zero VAC at 5000 rpm

          I am happy to report that after replacement of the stator, my charging system is charging sufficiently now.
