    Install help: Polaris R/R SH775 on a '78 GS750

Just wondering if anyone had any simple advice or video how to install a Polaris SH775 R/R on to a '78 GS750. Here's what I'm working with:

I installed the last one under the battery box. Had the wires come out the right side. Turned out very tidy.

That would be a good spot for it. I remember seeing some install instructions here somewhere but I never have any luck with the search function.

Not too much to it. The holes on the bottom of the battery box are virtually the same as the SH775, you just need a round file to extend the SH775 hole on one side a bit and she bolts right on. Are you wondering about the wiring?

Looks like the triumph wiring kit I ordered for my last SH-775, just cut the small black ends off and soldered it into the harness.

It fits nicely under the battery box of 850's, both L and G varieties, 81 and 82, just do like azr says and ream out the hole on one side of the R/R and it'll fit. I also did the same as he did - pointed the connections towards the left side cover where all of the electrical is, made for short connections and easy access.

Speaking of access, I also replaced the JIS screws with hex head SS screws so I could remove the unit without having to pull the battery box out if needed in the future.
