I'd add a 10 amp fuse in that blue wire coming off the orange. This way if headlight/taillight circuit shorts out for some reason, igntion will probably stay powered.
Are you keeping the charging system?1981 gs650L

Are you you asking am I keeping the alternator? Or something else? I have everything the bike needs to run and the only other things is what is in the diagram. I might add a speedometer odd the left side of the engine next

You need to update your diagram to reflect how the charging system (alternator and regulator) will connect. Look at stock layout to see how suzuki did it- note that r/r positive output connects after that main fuse on their scheme.1981 gs650L

That is still all connected the same way. The main thing the previous owner messed with on the wiring was the ignition

And to address your question about fuses, remember that a fuse does not protect a device on the bike. A fuse is installed to protect the bike when that device fails. Ideally, you would have a fuse feeding every electrical device (system). In other words, it's not necessary to have separate fuses for the headlight and tail light, one fuse for "lights" will do just fine.If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

If that is absolutely EVERYTHING that is on your bike, you will be limited to rides of 30-60 minutes and will have to connect your bike to a battery charger when you get home.

Sorry for the confusion . I only made the diagram to show my ignition system, and didn't really figure that I needed to show the charging system since all that is still hooked up correctly
