    1100ED Battery light

I am wrapping up cleaning all the connections on the harness, replacing the RR with a SH775, and repairing corrosion damage around the battery area. Made a few mistakes (the starter solenoid needs a ground wire!), but overall went well. Charging OK but the battery light is on. I understand the light has nothing to do with charging, and is usually discarded when the battery is replaced. I BELIEVE I have traced the sensor wire to an orange\blue stripe wire that was unhooked. I connected it to ground, I'm thinking it should probably go to switched +12V. Can someone confirm? Of course I put it ALL back together before noticing, so the tank\seat\airbox\seat bracket need to come out before I can even SEE the battery. I will post pictures later on where the F$#k do you fit a SH775 on a GS1100e. It's not pretty, and involves a saw and a cutoff wheel..... Or Pods.

You usually pull the sensor wire to switched +12V (e.g. O/G) to disable the idiot light and not draw current when sitting off.
