Are you trying to use the throttle when starting? Did you leave the petcock on prime? Are you sure the petcock isn't leaking?http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

Check your oil level and smell for gas first. It's possible that the petcock is leaking into the carbs and you don't see it. If so then you may have flooded the engine. You might also want to pull a plug and see if it's gas soaked.
If no gas smell, then verify that the vacuum line going to the carbs is still attached. You might also want to pull a plug and see if it's gas soaked or not firing. You'll want to pull a plug and verify spark.
Under normal conditions, you should not need to touch the throttle to get her started. Simply pull the choke out and crank the engine. Any throttle input messes with the start circuit.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg
