SH775 location help needed 81 1100e
I am a firm believer in the SH775, have it on 3 bikes and looking to put one on the '81. However, I don't want to do anything that can't be easily reversed in case I find an eBay wacko that wants to give me 5k for it. On my '83 I put it on the backside of the plate from where the RR is normally mounted, and modified the airbox to fit around it. Anyone have a suggestion on the best place to mount on this? I was thinking the rear cowl, but the wiring would likely be too long, and no airflow. On a bracket where the horns are, still long wires but better airflow. The airbox is so big the locations are limited, and I don't have a working imagination, or great fabrication skills....sigpic

You mean that you would remove the SH-775 before gouging the potential buyer? No, you must have mistyped! Anyway, here's my quickee spot- easy to check and remove. Don't worry about airflow- mine barely gets warm after 3 hours.Attached Files1981 gs650L
