    Almost there

Alrighty guys happy to report the bike is coming along better than expected. Got a battery and charged it up and put it in when I got home from work today. Now everything came alive all lights work only issue is the kickstand dummy light stays on. Checked the connection for it and connectors are good so probably got a bad switch. So is there any way to just disable this for the moment and with this switch active does it disable the starter on these bikes? Cause when I hit the starter button to see if that works I get nothing at the moment. So I'm hoping that's it I'd be crazy stoked. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My 1150 still cranks with the side stand light on. Did you check the clutch switch at the lever?

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Todd If in doubt disconnect the wires for the clutch switch inside the headlight bucket and connect them together on the bike side of the harness to essentially delete the switch. If it cranks that way it indicates a fault in the switch. You trying to get her ready for Laconia? Only a week and change away.

Well it may very well be the clutch switch or lack of one lol. Stopped by the house on my way by and took a look and on the bottom of the clutch perch is an open slot where a clutch switch would go. So I'll have to track down the wires when I get off and here's hoping that's the ticket. I really dislike electrical lol

Well it's not the clutch switch that was already disabled not quite sure what it was cause went thru all the connections and rerouted some wires and damned if she didn't crank on over like a champ. Woohoo I'm psyched. Now gotta reconnect some fuel and see if she starts but it sounds really strong. Still gotta fix the sidestand light tho.
