Changed out handle bars, now won't start.

I changed out my handlebars and grips tonight on my 850gx. I was delicate with everything when taking off and putting back on. When I press the start button, I get nothing. No sound. I traced the wiring from the starter switch (aside from taking the tank off) and it all looks good. I checked the fuses and those look good too. All other electrical works just fine. And yes, the obvious, the switch was in RUN. Any ideas or help with this one? I recently changed out the turn signals too. That went flawless and was just riding earlier today. Bad starter switch maybe after changing out the bars? Loose wiring junction somewhere?

    Two questions.

    1. Did the starter work before changing the bars?

    2. Did you pull the clutch lever (unless you have that disabled)?

Trapped wire in the throttle housing.... Also glass fuses can look good but not actually be good. Do you get power?

the clutch lever suggestion was on point. PO disabled that by taking those wires out and wrapping them together. found that issue and 'fixed', and am now riding again. all praise the GS gods.

Steve is truly the GS Whisperer. I had that very issue hit me when I replaced bars and levers on my 1150.
