I ordered the connectors from Eastern Beaver. I think they got here in about five days from Japan.
Original Shindengem Rectifiers/Regulators FH020AA, FH012AA, FH015AA, SH847 and replacement rectifier wiring kits
Be aware that minimum order is $20. This confuses SO many people...
Every other source for Triumph parts will have to order them from the exact same Triumph warehouse as BikeBandit, so it's unlikely you'll get them any sooner from someone else.
Someone at Triumph is probably still wondering why the hell they're selling so many connectors. And someone at Polaris is probably really puzzled about all these regulators they're selling...Last edited by bwringer; 07-19-2016, 06:20 PM.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

2015 Yamaha FJ-09, Magma Red Power Corrupts...

I consider it a great deal and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling about Polaris and Triumph, that between them they've saved me from more electrical angst and fury. I'd have to change my opinion of them if they raise prices to cash in on the situation.Last edited by Grimly; 07-19-2016, 07:39 PM.Dave

I considered finding/paying/ordering/waiting for the Triumph Connectors.
Then I thought about how many times I'd actually be unplugging and plugging the Polaris Regulator out after I had it Installed.
Probally never.
So I found a really good place to mount the R/R with the shortest possible wiring lenghts. Test fired the bike to check the running voltage and Then did this.

I have soldered on uninsulated spade terminals on the wire ends. Then used a Qtip covered in vasiline to swab the inside of the Polaris connector ports.
Then force feed silicone sealant from deep in the Connectors with everything installed to completely and solidly fill the connector port full of the sealant.
Let dry a couple days. Done.
If I do have to pull it all apart I'm betting the vasiline will let the silicone and spades come out all together and undamaged. Till then. A $2 solution.
BTW. That Polaris R/R works great.
My bike runs consistently at 13.5-13.8 with it Installed as you see it.Last edited by Guest; 07-19-2016, 08:54 PM.

I have the eastern beaver connectors now, I need some of the little terminal ends to fit in the shells, and I can't come up with 20 bucks worth of stuff to fill out an order for some .59 cent terminal ends. Got any extras kicking around, bwringer? As for the silicone injection, yeah, not for me. too grotty looking for this particular bike.1983 GS 1100 ESD :D

The connectors are available from a few places - search for "Furukawa qlw terminal".
Cycle Terminal has them, I think Vintage Cycle might have them, maybe RM Stator...
Note that it's not a typical open-barrel crimp, although you can make some open-barrel crimpers work. Eastern Beaver has a good write-up about making the connections.
