81 gs850gl. The oil light on the bike is on when the bike is not running, just when the key is on. I dont have any leaks, oil is brand new and it is topped off to the correct amount. Is there a way to reset this?

As long as the light goes off when the bike is running you're good to go (there's no pressure when the bike is not running). -
Is this not normal? Does it go out when the bike is running????? Isn't the light there to tell you that you have low oil pressure when it is running?????Ron
When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!

If you have a car, watch carefully when you turn the key ON, but don't start the engine. The oil light acts the same way.
