Electro Tachometer problems
Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me out with a problem, I read all the articles several times pertaining to cleaning up a electrical Tachometer Signal. I finished my custom dash and in installed my cheap Chinese tachometer speedometer unit. I connected the signal wire to the factory connection from the electric ignition to the coil and put a (zener?) diode in line. This cleaned up the signal well but under 2500 RPM the reading does not seem accurate over that it's pretty good but has an occasional blip. Any ideas how I can clean up the Signal more?IMG_0167.jpg

I installed a Koso on mine, and I find it also is not super accurate off idle (it reads idle speed well) to about 2000 rpm. Not sure about the best method of cleaning that signal up, so I'll keep an eye on this thread."Thought he, it is a wicked world in all meridians; I'll die a pagan."
