'82 650GL no spark
I just got this and it has been sitting for a while, the person I got it off of got it in a trade and didn't know anything about it. After some tinkering I got it to turn over but I can't get it to fire up. After cleaning the carbs I checked for spark and am getting nothing so I checked for power to the coils and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong, or where is my next obvious check point? I'm good with a wrench but electrical is a bit of a blind spot for me (still learning how to use a multimeter lol)Tags: None

Read those links! Do not jump this critter with a running vehicle. (Hopefully, no one else has)
No power to coils.... with tank off ,look for orange/white wires going to ignition coils. Measure from either one to good bike ground. Red meter probe on wire, black meter probe on ground. With ignition on and run switch on, you should see about 11 volts without cranking starter motor.1981 gs650L
