Side stand switch

    Mine has a separate side stand light in the speedo side of the cluster.

      That funny, mine does not but the oil light does light up with the side stand down. Very strange.

        Just rechecked mine and I think I'm loosing my mind. Yes, the speed-o does have a kick stand warning light. Mine does not light either but that's because the bulb is missing as well. The low oil pressure indicator does serve dual purpose though. It will light with the engine running and the kickstand down. The light will go out if I raise the kick stand. Sorry Steve.

          I can't test that right now, as her bike is not ready to run yet, but I was thinking it's the other way around. When the stand is down, the stand light is ON. When the engine dies and the oil light comes ON, the stand light comes ON, too. Can't decide which situation is more dangerous, but Suzuki wanted both lights to come on in one situation or the other, just to make SURE it is seen, even if one of the bulbs was not working. It would also make a difference if the diode was removed at one time and re-installed backward.

            Mine are exactly same clocks replaced the bulb didn't bridge the wires and light came on bridge the wires and light gets a bit stronger am lost now.Wires at side of battery are G/W & B/W.Wires at bulb are orange & B/W which I think is strange.Mabey time to take clocks off and see if some eejit before me put them in the wrong place.

              Was the engine running when you did this? If not, that would go along with my previous statement that both lights would come on with loss of oil pressure.

              Try running the test with the engine running to see if it does the same thing.

                  Super figured it out 1 problem now need a different switch the 1 I got is off newer Suzuki and works the opposite way.Stand up light on stand down light off,reversed the wires no difference only paid 5 Euro for switch and they'll change it for me.Cheers for all the help.Conan
