Which Dyna s should I purchase?
I have an 81 Suzuki gs650 and I'm fed up with my spark issue. Coils check fine. Signal generator checks fine. Two different igniters. I just want to switch to a Dyna ignition but I cannot find which one I should buy for a 650g. Thanks for any help.Tags: None

You want the DS3-2 fits the suzukis with the ND ignition
If this is a shafty 650, I'm skeptical that you have two failed ignitors. I'd had 5 of these and they all tested good (ran all of them on my bike). Bad charging system could fry one.
Did you clean the connectors from signal coils and on to the 6 way connector under seat?
just what is your spark issue?1981 gs650L

Cleaned connectors checked for broken wires. Have 12v to both coils. With original igniter only cylinders 2&3 would fire. Bought a used igniter and only cylinders 1&4 fire. If I plug original igniter back in then cylinders 2&3 will fire. I have also tried 2 different signal generators as well. Still have the same issue.

That's real odd... the ignitor is just interrupting the ground connection that ignition coils have running thru it.
Anyways, the dyna will work , but on the shafty 650, you have to make cutout in dyna mounting plate to clear the oil pressure sender.
If you send those ignitors to me ,I will doublecheck them on my bike and return them to you.1981 gs650L

I got the Dyna today and have perfect spark now. But my petcock isn't sending fuel from the tank, so now I am working on that problem. I may have to take u up on the ignitor and have u test them

Petcock repair is a waste of time.. get a decent replacement like this link.. There are two versions from this seller- $60 has more reserve, while the $45 version has less. I got the later for my 650L
