    signal generator bolt torque spec

I am pretty sure that Number 5 in the pic is called the signal generator bolt but I am not 1000% sure. Shop manual says 18.5 - 25 lbs torque. Do I have it right .. if not .. what is the torque spec for this bolt?

Also do I put blue locktite or white lithium or send it in dry. It came out dry as a bone with no locktite or any semblance of grease on it.
    Thank you as always!

I have a gsx 400 and am looking at my manual-yes-different 2 cylinder bike but still it has a very similar signal-generator and in my shop manual that bolt is called a "Governor Center Bolt" or, just "governor bolt" that holds the "advance governor"
on......(it doesn't actually hold the signal generator on, as you know.)

maybe that'll help to find it in a torque chart...There's no mention in the description of installation of any "Suzuki Bond" or whatever used but I can't see any harm in it if it isn't the super-duper type, except that you migh have to hold the engine back harder to get it off again someday!

PS again, my bike is different and maybe bolt size too but it has it as 9.5-16.5 ft/lbs for it.Also, your 18-25.5 ft/lbs suspiciously matches my manual's torque scale for "other bolts" that are 10mm diameter and have no mark or a "4" stamped on....I'd expect that not to be wrench size, but shank size...because I HATE breaking bolts. a guess, so maybe we both need a refresher course!

      Dont loctite it.

18-25 lbs isn't super tight for a 10mm bolt so that will be OK.
      Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )

      Past:
      VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....
