    No Spark

I had so much trouble with the electrical system on my 82 gs850g that I removed the wiring harness and just started from scratch. I connecting my coils to the hot lead and the other lead to my pick-up coil but get no spark. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. PS: All lights work

Ahhhhh? Where is your igniter to drive the coils? Can't just connect the pick-up coil directly to the coils unless you have something like a Dynatek Dyna-S or something like it.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

OK, I'm electrically lost. I'll see if I can find the ignitor and connect it. Do I need the Dynatec to complete this circuit?

If you use the stock igniter, then you wont need anything else. If you use the Dynatek igniter, it will replace the pickup coils and the stock igniter. Wires directly to the coils.
