Fuel gauge again

The gauge is usually pretty easy to replace alone once you get the center gauge cluster apart. That's the only "hard" part. Takes me about 5 minutes to get the gauge housing apart. After that, it's like 2 screws to remove the fuel gauge.Last edited by JTGS850GL; 07-14-2017, 03:26 PM.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

I doubt there is anything wrong on the harness side. Those connectors take a lot of heat and may need a real good cleanup to get a good read. I have had mine go bad twice and both times the wire going to the sending unit in the tank needed to be re-soldered. They like to break from vibration.http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ine=1440711157'78 GS1000E, Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green Coils, K&N pods, Delkevic SS 4-1 exhaust, Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit, Russell SS Brake Lines, Progressive suspension, Compu-Fire series Regulator 55402 and Advmonster cree LED headlight conversion.
