    '81 850GLX Switch Screwup

So of course I come home and find that the headlight switch is burnt out. It's the 12wire switch with the Hi/LO/LT/RT slide and all the copper is WRECKED. I ordered another one before I counted the wires and found out the replacement only has 8 wires. So as much as I hate wiring I'd rather not pay someone to fix it but I can't find any diagrams for it. I figured out what the new switch's setup is. Just a basic Horn, HI/LO, and Turn Toggle setup. It was $10 so I'm not complaining but an accurate diagram would be really helpful.

The factory service manual has wiring diagrams. You might be able to take apart the two switches and then rebuild into one new one with the proper harness and plug.

I decided to redo the whole light system to something an it more tidy and simple. Rathat than have all these controllers and relays just a basic in and out system. I had to do it to one of my '79s and it's worked for 10 years. Just a simple flasher, 2 30a relays for running/acc lights/headlight, and lot less to mess up in the future. Prnd $15 to avoid spending $80.
