    1983 GS1100es tach help....

Hello all, I am new to this forum and I have a question. I am trying to rebuild my 1983 GS1100es original gauge and am having a bit of uncertain trouble. I am using a 1985 GS700 tach in an attempt to rebuild the 1983 GS1100es tach. the main problem I am having is determining where to splice in the 3 extra lights that are used in the 1983 vs only 6 in the 1985 version. In the photo below the 83' tach is on the left.

The 3 middle lights are used in the 83' tach and not in the 85'. They are the tail/stop, Battery, and Head lamp. I will probably need to move lights from the 85' tach so that they illuminate in the correct space. The lower half of the picture is the back where the lights splice into the wiring harness. My main question is, when I add the 3 new lights, where and what color wires do i splice them into?? Can anyone provide a diagram showing this, or send a photo of the back of their tach so I can see where the wires connect or what colors they are? I know I can search on google, however, I can not find a diagram that is specifically for a 1983 GS1100es. Thank you all for any info you might have.

    Take a look at Basscliff's site - http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/

You'll find the wiring diagrams, service manuals, and much more on his site. Note: if using IE11, you'll need to add his site to your browser's compatibility view settings

Thanks, I’ve looked there. I hope one of those will help. I am really hoping that someone has that very tach and can send a pic of the wiring harness so I can know for sure how things fit together.
