will a GSXR speedo fit onto a GS1000G

I am looking for a new speedo and tacho for my GS1000G as the original is all cracked and broken. I am wondering if a GSXR dash will fit on without to much modification any suggestions.

welllll.....I mounted a gsxr gauge set with an electronic tach and mech speedo on my 1100 es, buuut....the es already has an electronic tach. Not sure if the gxxr gauges had a mech tach, though conversion wouldn't be too hard, I suppose. Took a little massaging of the wiring and some bracketry fabrication, but it looks good on there. Another point is the gxr tach goes to like 14 k or something, so the indicated redline is no longer applicable, but that is mostly an aesthetic issue for me....

edit: there are other options out there, too, including used gs gauges, though availability in aus might be more limited than here...

thanks Greg that's what I was thinking I could wire in the tacho then I would have to cap the hole where the tacho cable comes out.
