    Need help

I currently race a 78 GS1000E and in my last two races on lap 5 and 6 my bike has suddenly lost power. The first time it was mid corner and resulted in a crash, the second time was on a straight and it seemed as if the bike lost most of its power, I was able to pull off and the bike died. When we got the bike back to the pits it wouldn't even turn over, but the battery is new and had good voltage.
After the bike cooled down 3 plus hours, it fired up and ran great.
I'm think that I have some electrical component that is failing in the extreme heat. The bike has Dyna coils and ignition on it.
Any ideas on how to test for this, I can't just rude the bike around the streets to heat it up.
    Thanks
    Paul

Dyna-s ignitions have a habit of failing in high heat, I run one on my cl175 ahrma bike, but I leave the cover off for extra cooling. Others drill vent holes to help cool.
That really doesn’t explain the “won’t turn over” part though.

The bike did try and turn over, maybe a half turn or so.
