83 - 87 gs550e sh775
Replaced my fried R/R with a used SH775 from a Polaris. Works much better, 14 volts at idle and stays very regulated throughout the rpm range. Had to put the SH775 in the ignitor location due to its size. The ignitor was moved under the gas tank using a custom bracket.

The SH775 is the way to go in my opinion. For the money I can't think of a better upgrade.Ed
