    1982 U.S. spec GS650gz coil wiring order

    Hi guys, is this correct for firing order. GS650 gz U.S. spec
    left coil orange/white+ number 1, white- number 4.
    Right coil, orange/white+ number 2. black yellow- number 3.

    Left ignition coil gets the white,right coil gets the black/yellow

      Hi Tom, I have that right , I have the B/Y wire on the negative of right coil, does it fire #2 or #3 cylinder

        #2 and #3 fire together. Yes, at the same time. Same thing with #1 and #4.

        It's called "wasted spark ignition". Besides firing at the top of the compression stroke, the plug will also fire at the top of the exhaust stroke. There is nothing gained (or hurt) for emissions or anything like that, it's just the simplicity of having no distributor.
