what is a working auto cancelling turn signal module worth?

I am selling my 78 gs1000, minus the pretty painted parts, but was thinking about pulling off the self cancelling module if it is worth doing.

Anyone know what they are worth? ...and if i took it off would the signals still work?

Thank you I took Chuck's advise and left it with the bike. Sold it yesterday to a guy that is going to take it back to japan when he goes home in two years,

I am really surprised they go for only 10 bucks, it would be worth a LOT more than that to me if I needed one. BTW, I have an 82 gs1000e that does not have auto cancel, does anyone know if it was supposed to?... and if it didn't originally, could it easily be added?

yep, that's what I thought too, but he acts like he intends to keep it, but he did say that nice gs1000's can go for as much as 13k. I asked him how much he would have to pay to ship it back and he hadn't checked on that yet,

He may come back and buy my 3000 mile gs1000 engine as well.

It sounds like our old GS's are worth a ton in Japan. $500 on ebay is an engine he can't see in person. Your engine is right in front of him. That adds some value. Plus, he's going to ship it back to Japan and make a killing on it.

Someone a few years back posted a site from Japan Showing GSs for sale and asking prices in the thosuands for what we consider a " nothing special " bike. Anyone save that placeand can repost it?
