While there are differences from year to year and from model to model, the one that I have found to be the best overall diagram is the one that happens to apply to my bike. I don't remember who took the time to re-draw the diagram, but it is GREATLY appreciated.

There will be differences due to which wires run through connectors and even where those connectors might be, but the general function and color-coding remains the same.
