Flywheel Puller
Hi. This question has probably been answered somewhere on this site, so my apologies in advance. I have 1979 Suzuki GS1000 chain drive bike. My starter clutch is in need of replacement. I have removed the flywheel bolt but need a flywheel puller . It looks like the bolt that came out of the flywheel is a 16mm bolt. Can I use a longer 16mm bolt, screwed into the existing hole to remove the flywheel? Or do I need a 35 or 38 mm puller for the larger threaded portion of the flywheel? or can either way work to remove the flywheel?Last edited by Guest; 04-17-2019, 10:08 AM.Tags: None

Yes, GS1000...changed it in my post, thanks tom203. That's exactly what I needed to know. You don't happen to know the size of the threaded hub? 35mm, 38mm, 40mm?

You can remove the rotor/flywheel using a long bolt. The swingarm bolt for example. If you search ebay for "GS1000 flywheel" and you will find lots of different puller options.Ed
To measure is to know.

I just did this and bought the tool. All you need is the cheap tool that is essentially a bolt.
See Ebay Amazon etc.
