Can I be optimistic in thinking that SH633-12 is the culprit for the symptoms?

Could be but your cheap stator didn't do you any favors either. If you're interested. I went through the same thing a year ago. Here's my detailed charging system saga.

Rywilly, Nessism has SH775 for sale in this thread.
if you get it from him you know it's the real deal and he tests them before he sells them.

For a stator, I think most people prefer to buy new. Rick's or Electrosport.

Yeah, bummed I actually already pulled the trigger on the ebay one before I saw his message... I'll definitely go with Rick's for the stator.

Actually, if you know what to look for, it doesn't even look like one.

No round nubs on the fins.

No metal plate on the bottom.

                It's black, not gray.

                No "SH775" on the fin.

For best results on an eBay search:
                - search only for "used"
                - restrict search to US sellers
                - search for "Polaris regulator" or "SH775"

You will see a bunch of smaller regulators for smaller, older Polaris machines, the one you are looking for is instantly recognizeable in the picture.

Installed the new RR, looks like my charging issue is gone - this is why from now on I will do everything myself. Thanks again for all of your insight.

Now on to the next issue. I am assuming there must be a broken/bad wire for my tail light running light, everything else works, both front and back brake switches are working. Brown wire is the wire which I believe is the running light and I tested it with a test light grounded one battery and got nothing.

Before I run whole new wire to the switch anything else I should consider?

What model and year of bike? It would help you and everyone else if you put model and year in your signature (saves typing when you post)
The big guy up there rides a Suzuki (this I know)

It was in my signature, I thought. I'll add it. Its a 78 GS550.
