    GS1100EX Regulator/Rectifier

Hello, I'm from Spain, I would like to know if somebody could help me telling me where can I buy a good regulator/rectifier for my GS1100EX. I bought one from China (Ebay), reallly cheap, but only works for 1 month more or less .

I don't want the most expensive, but yes one with quality.

    Regards,
    Juanmi

Buy this one (assuming he ships to Spain). The SH775 is the BEST R/R you can buy these days other than maybe some specialized units costing a LOT more money.

Thanks for your quick reply Nessism.

I've never seen this R/R, and I'm not sure if i will know to mount it in my motorbike... Is there a tutorial?

Anyway, other option for a R/R which include the wires already conected? Just a "plug a play", even if it's something more expensive :/

Are these the three leads which goes directly to the stator? Have I to connect here the SH775A leads?

Hello Again, This week I'm going to try to install the SH775AA. Could anybody tell me which it's the best place for install it? The bike it's Suzuki GS1100 EX (also ET).
SH775AA it's bigger than the original one, and doesn't fit in the same place than the older one.

I would also appreciate one picture if it could be.

                      Regards

I have not installed one on an 1100E, so I don't know where there is available space. Feel free to explore alternate areas. On my 850G and 1000G, it was mounted under the battery box, but my battery box and air filter are considerably different than yours. Do you have room between air filter and rear fender?

Where ever you find a good spot. Nothing says you can’t redo the wiring in the process so that it fits in properly

Thanks for yours answers. I've been exploring the motorbike and the only place I found it's down the saddle at the end of the rear fender.
There is a small gap between the saddle and the fender (I hope it is enough to cool the regulator).

This afternoon I installed the sh775aa and started the motorcycle (in the photo the alternator and the cables are still not properly secured, before screwing it well and fixing the cables, I wanted to try if it works)

The result: With all the lights off, the motorbike get 15,05 at 5000rpm, but not at the moment when I start the bike, I have to wait about 2-3 minutes and go to the 5000rpm for get the 15.05v

But when I Turn On the front Light, the motorbike don't arrive more than 12,5v It's normal? Maybe the alternator it's not in good shape? (Sorry for my poor English)

                              Hello again

I know we are in August, probably most people are on vacation and with the heat it is, the last thing people wants is to respond to a newbie. I'm looking for in other threads about how many volts has to indicate the voltimeter with lights on.
I've been reading this thread: https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...ICK-TEST/page9

But not say nothing about lights on. That's why I'm asking if it's normal 12,5V with lights on, in any rpm. (from 1500rpm till 5000 rpm).

I need to close this electrical problem, because I have other problem with carburators and I will open other thread in its corresponding section

                              Sorry for insisting

                              Regards
