Second Question: where is the best place to buy them online? Eastern Beaver seemed pricy/expensive.

First answer: I believe they might be.
Second answer: I usually get mine from Vintage Connections, but I have heard that Cycle Recycle II is good, too. Have not tried them, only heard from others.

Thanks Steve! As always your assistance is appreciated especially when it is nearly 2 AM in oHIo!
Today I refurbished the wiring harness for my 82 GS650G rebuild and needed to replace a wire/bullet or two. I have replaced the original fried Stator with a new one along with a SH775 R/R. Once I "plugged" everything into the harness I was left with three spare wires. After a few minutes of thinking (it hurt a bit) I realized two of the wires were direct connections to the old Stator plug/connector. The third wire (yellow/green if I recall) is the Stator headlight loop wire. Am I correct on this? I also recall this is something that has become redundant or was a bad plan back in the day when this system was designed?GS550T 1981

It's not redundant. Plug it directly into the R/R with the other two stator wires.

The yellow/green wire starts at the starter button, travels to the left side of the handlebar to the "safety" switch at the clutch lever, then goes to the starter solenoid. If you have bypassed the "safety" switch, you should have a male/female pair of wires in the headlight bucket that come from the left side of the handlebar. The other male/female pair that used to plug into those loose connectors should plug in to themselves, or you won't be able to use your electric starter.
The wires that used to go from the stator to the "loop" and back to the R/R would be white/red and white/green.

I don't mean to high-jack this thread, but what crimping tool do you guys use for these? I've got a Klein "standard" wire crimper that works well for most things but I want the type that's specifically for these types of connectors.- 1983 GS850L ~ 30,000 miles and going up - Finally ready for a proper road trip!
