My regulator/rectifier says Kokusan Denki, is it a safe bet to assume my signal generator is the same make?

Assumption is the mother of all screw-ups.
As far as I know every zuk that left the factory had a kit of ND or KD electronics, and they weren't mixed on the production line.
However...
You don't know whether some PO replaced the reg-rec that might have matched the ignitor.
There's still a chance you might be right.---- Dave

When in doubt call Dynatech. 1-800-928-3962.
