    GS1000S Headlight question

Are the Gs1000S Headlight and brackets (ears) the same as the Gs1000?

Will the "Wes Cooley" front fairing work on the GS1000 (1979) without changing the headlight location?

I got a GS1000S fairing kit from the UK, and I still have to mount it. I just kind of held it up front, and it appears that the headlight bucket might be too far back. Maybe not. Was just wondering if the "S" model had a different mount for the bucket.

To judge part interchange look up the part number on Parzilla. In this case yes, the 1000S shares the headlamp brackets with other models.

Oh, there will be a gap between the fairing and the headlamp. That's just how they were.

Yes, I have an original "S" fairing on my '78 GS1000E my '79 parts bike has the same setup as the '78. You will have to play with the fairing to get the headlight to center properly but it will work with the stock brackets for the S model fairing.
