    Source of aftermarket ignitors

Very keenly priced and well worth a look.
I'm seriously thinking about one for the 850 as it's still fitted with a mechanical advance, which is slowly wearing away.
Their basic Sparker box has a pre-programmed advance curve, as far as I see, and for only an extra few quid, they do a user-programmable TCI with all sorts of extra bells and whistles.
Using existing pickups and coils is no problem, they say.

Good link... it might be a good / cheaper place than Dyna 2000 for replacing ignitors on the later model bikes!

ill have a look at this when I get more time. Be interested to hear your results with it.

There's a link at the bottom where you can choose by the manufacturer of the bike you have, for what it's worth Suzuki isn't listed. Besides, it looks like that website is located in one of those countries where they don't use enough vowels in thier names, that makes me leery about not actually seeing what I paid for.
      1980 Yamaha XS1100G (Current bike)
      1982 GS450txz (former bike)
LONG list of previous bikes not listed here.

I identify as a man but according to the label on a box of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four

They're the standard for 2 stroke programmable ignitions. Used all round the world. No idea what the fourstroke ones are like but people I know have dealt with them with no trouble.

Probably easier to deal with at present than the US.

Here is a link to a company from New Zealand that has been making them for years . http://hyperpak.co.nz/Products/Suzuki/

I nearly brought one from them in 1989 when the one in my GSX750 broke but gone mine fixed.

I cant vouch for them as i have never used them but the have been around for a long time.
I am not connected to them in any way

$190 for the NZ one before shipping. A little cheaper than a Dyna 2000 all in probably.

The Czech ones: Looking at this their sensor is the same as a stock GS one: https://www.ignitech.cz/en/vyrobky/p...%2093%20mm.htm

They have a box that works with that here: https://www.ignitech.cz/en/vyrobky/tci/tci.htm

The color code for the GS750X must be similar (or able to be translated across using the wiring diagram in the manual... ) https://www.ignitech.cz/en/vyrobky/tci/mototci.htm

Looks like their prices are around $130-$140 plus shipping... so about $170 all-in.. https://www.ignitech.cz/zdroj/en/cen...nits%20usd.pdf & https://www.ignitech.cz/zdroj/en/cen...0dhl%20usd.pdf

The Hyperpac ones aren't bad. He's been around since the late 80's. I've used his race boxes on a couple of bikes over the years.
Usually a more agressive advance curve and a higher rev limiter.

Never met him but I've dealt with him several times.

                Is Hyperpak still in business?
I'm sure that recently an XJ owner was trying to get one from him but got no reply.

I got one from him last year. Bear in mind we've been in lockdown for about 6 weeks now - and he's notoriously slow answering emails.

My understanding of his situation is that some years back he was more or less forcibly taken over by his largest Auckland customer. An automotive distributor.
They told him that their new building had a workshop area in it which was going to be his - or they got someone else....
From that point it became harder to get bike ignitions out of him.
I have no idea if that arrangement is still going - but bike stuff is very definitely low priority.

That might explain it, then. It was a good six months ago, so pre-virus shenanigans.
