Caltric stator fail

I actually did pair it with a SH775 after a few recommendations from other users on this forum. Glad to know you have had positive results with Caltric. I haven't read many negative reviews about them but I think i was expecting to get jumped on for buying cheap. This forum is actually pretty great!

I really appreciate the offer! Let me take a few measurements real quick and I'll message you.

No idea what model it's for or how many poles. Here are some pics. It's missing 1 of the 3 springs in the back of the clutch maybe something else in there. If you can use it, you can have it for shipping cost.

I measured mine to be about 5.125" in diameter. Seems yours is a little too small. Also looked up the part number from the one pic you posted and it says it fits up to an 850. Thank you again for the offer. That would have been great.

As for "L" verses "GK," the L is actually a GL, G indicating shaft drive, L indicating "custom." The L models generally have more chrome and a tear drop shaped tank (think about what the typical Harley Davidson tank looks like). Also high long horn type handle bars, and more rake in the forks. They look more like a chopper.
For the GK, G again indicates shaft drive, the K indicates it was a cruiser with a front fairing, saddle bags and trunk. Also, the tank is more rectangular, and larger than the L tank. Handle bars are lower, and less fork rake. Even if your bike doesn't have the fairing, saddle bags and trunk, it's possible a PO took all that stuff off.
Either way, both will have the same engine as far as I'm aware.
Here's a pretty good website detailing most of the GS models. https://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suz...ki_models.html- 1983 GS850L ~ 30,000 miles and going up - Finally ready for a proper road trip!

Quick one I took the other day while the cover was off the stator. I'll have to take some better ones.

I will confirm that is a GL, not a GK. The leading-axle forks and the peanut tank are dead giveaways.

This is a no name stator stator I fitted for a few weeks while sorting the original.
The only marking is 1K.DSC03473.jpg
Six of the poles have rubbed. Can't say if it was there before or not.97 R1100R
