Just thinking out load. Are you absolutely sure your crankshaft is true?Rich

No. And I was wondering that as well. It's a possibility. But I don't know what would throw it out of spec all of the sudden. Only 6k miles on the bike. No issue with the old stator. Wasn't until I replaced it that this suddenly happened. Old stator still fits in there nice too. Should have left it alone instead of throwing parts at it.
The flywheel puller is being delivered today so I'll know more once I pull it.1982 GS1100gl

Got the right puller. Does 116ft/lb seem correct for flywheel nut? Maybe mine was just loose originally because it came off pretty easy. I believe the manual says 116-123. Tried posting screenshot but quality is lacking.Attached FilesLast edited by Greg7; 05-22-2020, 05:43 PM.1982 GS1100gl
