    What is this cylindrical doodad?

    Wiring goes into the main loom.
    Bike: Katana 650gm "85

    Looks like a signal flasher,Disconnect it and see if your turn signals still work....

      looks like it might be a flasher from the shape of the connector

        Thanks for the quick answers!
        The turn signals doesn't work anyway at the moment even with this being plugged in.
        My other 650 katana doesn't have this, but a smaller relay instead.

          I'm thinking most GS turn signal relays were "NOT ROUND", that appears to be something adapted to the bike. May work or may not. Be aware, on the GS's, everything else being correct, the turn signal bulbs must be the correct bulbs, with the correct amount of current draw, to work properly. Many have used bulbs that weren't correct & had a hard time figuring why the signals wouldn't flash. Can you swap the relay from the other bike to help troubleshoot this one.

            Why not check the colours of the wires against the wiring diagram? it's much quicker than asking for opinions on what a taped-over doofunny is.

              I don't think every orange, black/white stripe, & green wire on the bike goes to the same thing.
