1982 Suzuki GS1100G Coils and Plugs

    Folks

I need some help figuring out which coil and wires goes to which plugs. I think from the rider's seating position and starting on the left side of the engine and with the left coil; the first wire goes to Cyl 1 and the second wire goes to Cyl 4. Moving to the right coil; the first wire beginning on the left side it goes to Cyl 2 and the second wire goes to Cyl 3.

    Is this correct?

Yes. Though as long as the coils from 1 coil go to 1&4, and the wires from the other coil go to 2&3, thats what matters.

to slightly correct what I thought I wrote before. "Though as long as the WIRES from 1 coil go to 1&4, and the wires from the other coil go to 2&3, that's what matters"

As long as the trigger wires feeding the ignitor are paired up right, so that trigger 1/4 fires coil 1/4, etc.
The original wiring with its connectors in place makes this hard to get wrong, but you never know what the dreaded PO has done, so it's worth checking.

I got the wires correct and it runs now but not great at the moment. It needs carb or airbox troubleshooting. See video below.

Congrats on the first step of getting it running.
Didn't see a fan. I wouldn't run it too long without air blowing on the engine.

I did get one today but the bike wont run long enough to even use it. I hope I didn't do damage when I ran it in the garage without a fan.
