    Front brake light switch - 83 850GL

Hey guys, I need a new front brake light switch for my 850GL. I found this one on ebay, it's cheaper than the OEM switch. Has anyone tried this one? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-GS85...epid=171150705

I've always used the ebay ones. I've seen some that didn't come with a new spring, the description on the one you show says it does come with the spring. I'd guess it will be fine. I don't know how deep you are in yet, but sometimes just remove & clean the tiny contacts will fix the problem. It's a very simple switch, with very small parts & they all need to be in the correct places. Beware taking it apart, that little spring is almost impossible to find once dropped on a garage floor, been there done that.

Thank you for the feedback. I should have mentioned I've already taken the switch apart to clean it, and discovered that the little tab on one side of the plastic clip is broken so the switch just does what it wants. I figured if this Ebay switch is decent quality, it's worth spending the $11 and change just to install a new one and be done with it.
