Anyway, here are a few currently on ebay. Look closely at the connector, looking for a broken tab. I think one of the Can-Am units posted has the tab broken on the light gray connector.

Who needs a SH775?
I've bought and tested a couple dozen of these units and have yet to find one that didn't work properly. I've gotten a few with broken plastic connectors though. Even if you get one of those it's not the end of the world though. You can use a wire tie to keep the connector closed, or forget the connector and simply use spade terminals to attach the wires to the unit.

Nice. Some non acidic RTV can be used to seal the cavity. I've got a few tubes if you want to go that way. Just pay shipping.Ed

are these usable across the '80's GS line or only specific models? My '83 GS650 seems to be charging fine, but the '81 GS550T is less reliable. The battery drains quickly while sitting, will test rev voltage shortly. Previous test had it going ~12.8V at 2-3k rpms not the 13+ typically seen. Haven;t tested the circuit yet to see if I have a drain somewhereCurrent rides: GS850G, GL1100, Triumph Scrambler XC, Guzzi V85TT, Kawi Z900RS

Just realize that the R/R is only part of the charging system. You still need:
1. A good battery
2. A healthy stator.
3. Clean/good electrical connections - including all of your grounds.
And if you've got a parasitic drain, take care of that first.Rich
