    GS 750 overhaul

Been a while since i was last here, so recently my bike has started to smoke on start up thought i could get by for another season but smoking got worse.
Only option was to remove the engine and do a top end rebuild.
All was going well until i get to the barrels what a work up 4 hours to remove and a full can of WD40 used, I managed to get the barrels past the pistons but that was as far i could move it, I decided to remove the pistons but dropped a pin down the crank couldnt think about it for a while still had to remove barrels wrapped the con rods in rags and started to spray wd40 and work the barrels up and down doing this for hours slowly getting nearer the top bit by bit until finally a final wiggle and off they come.
Did not have time to celebrate turned the engine up on end and started to remove oil pan wondering if the pin had fell to the bottom removed the last bolt held my breath tap tap with the rubber mallet off pops the pan and there fell out the pin man i was so relieved,
That was enough drama for today so spent the last few hours cleaning and prepping for a rebuild, new gaskets, valve seals, even new rings seeing as i,m that far with it no going back now. Cant rush this as work during the day. I was in my twenty,s when i last pulled an engine apart i have more patience this time around.
