Seems like they have different front wheel rim size from what i can find online.

The 1100G does use the wider rim but I don't think that affects the distance between the fork legs in this case.... I think it's only the GK that has a wider one. I might be wrong.1980 GS1000G - Sold

I sorta doubt you will get much of an answer as that's an oddball matchup. Unless amazingly the serial #'s match. But who is gonna be trying that? Don't do it if you can't try it. I did put a pretty clean GS850G front fender on same year GS1000E (79) and it worked out fine - but didn't share the same part number. What's the story, are you looking to buy one sight unseen? What led you up this path that would prevent you from just trying it?Tom
