You mean cut the mount tabs themselves or the ends of the bolt head/bolt end?

Not the tabs, you need them. If you haven't already cut the head of the bolt off to try driving the bolt through the bushing try that first. What I meant was to cut through the bushing and bolt just inside the tabs trying not to damage the tabs. Then to make up for the lost bushing material use a couple of washers to make up the difference in length.
