Carb intake boot swap?

Does anyone know if the carb intake boots (engine side) will swap from a 78 GS1000 and work on a 81 GS1000? I have the 81 and need the new intake, but Suzuki wants about $150 for them. Any thoughts... Thanks

Hi,

Different carbs, different intake boots ('78=VM carbs, '81=CV carbs). Check around with a few of our favorite vendors for the best prices (partshark.com, cyclepartsnation.com, gssuzuki.com, etc) but don't forget to factor in the shipping.
