Hey hey. It's finally sunny, so I worked on the bike a bit.

I pulled out the fill plug, and nothing came out. I poked my pink in the hole, and felt oil just below the fill hole. I drained maybe half of it, and checked that it was way below the fill hole. I added a bit so it wouldn't be super low. It's still below the fill hole.
I cleaned the tire and wheel, and I noticed some spots with some very thick grease built up. Maybe there was never much oil in the final drive to begin with and that was hiding a problem with the breather system.

Also, I don't see how it is possible to fill the oil above the bottom of the fill hole... the oil will drain out. The hole is parallel to the pavement on my bike.
I'll post back with the results. Off to kragen to get a couple feet of primary wire for my car's temp sender.

Rode about 10 miles. Doesn't seem to be leaking from the axle/wheel seam anymore, but it may leak with more miles.

It is definitely leaking from the fill plug/crush washer, and that's where the larger quantities are coming from. I'll have to remove and anneal the washer I have, unless I can find a local replacement.

Will update again when it's solved.
