Powder coaters mistake -
Well they cooked the oil-level sight glass - forgot to remove it before clutch cover went into the oven. Anybody got a beat up cover with a sight glass they can part with (81 GS 1100) probably multi year/model fitment. Also - anybody supply the old "Suzuki TSCC" decals that so on the other covers ? Thanks.Tags: None

the coaters i use would of done the same thing. they cook it just how it comes in with just some light cleaning. if you use the search on here you'll find a few threads relating to replacing the glass... for ordering i would check bikebandit.com on the oem parts microfiche's. every part i have ever ordered from them has fit perfectly and the pricing is pretty good. i'm fairly certain they can get the tscc decals. partshark.com has a good setup to.. but i ordered from them once and had to wait 3 weeks for a part they said they had in stock.

I guess different PC houses have different standards (as in most things).

"Oversight glass" ..... I get it. Actually, when I handed him the parts he said "we'll need to remove this" (pointing at the sight glass) .... one of his guys made the mistake after it was too late (no speaky the Engleesh). Any way - I was gonna get her back together this weekend but ... (put a cork in it ) I'll track one down - thanks for all the input, and "output". Also (obviously) the insulation behind the chain guard will go bye-bye in the oven as well, but I wasn't concerned with that. Just no time to sit in front of the buffer - too many other projects .....

The sight glasses are about $8 or $9 bucks through your favorite source for Suzuki bits and pieces. The part number is missing from the fiches on some models, but poke around on a different model -- they're the same on every GS.
They install from the outside just like a seal.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

Here is the cover badge on Ebay. One went for $14 last month looks like this one is going to bring a little more. Should check out his store has lots of little odds and ends.

Got the replacement sight glass - looks like it just presses in from the inside with maybe a smear of silicone ? Also , dealership got me the parts I needed from Suzuki - no problem, those "TSCC" side cover emblems are about 14-15 bucks, not sure what the guys on Ebay are smoking ..........
