    Season Ended, Don't forget...

Don't forget to fill up the tanks and add fuel stabilizer. Run the bike for 10 minutes and leave it till summer.
Don't start it up every few weeks, let her sleep.

Of course I am not talking to the lucky ones who have summer temps all winter.... lucky dogs!!

What, you get to ride in the spring as well as summer, that's great news.

How about riding it for a few miles every week or two? Is that better than just starting it up? I rode today (mid thirties) for fifteen minutes or so...

Going for a ride for 20 minutes is fine. What you don't want to do is start it up and idle it for 3 or 4 minutes promoting condensation. Get it up to operating temp. There is no reason to start the bike if you are not using it. Let it sit, pref with the weight off the tires and a tender on the bat.

Ok, thanks. I like to go for a quick ride in the winter; was hoping it wasn't detrimental.

                        Riding is never detrimental.

Just be weary of tire warmth. I've been noticing its been taking about 15 minutes till the tires are warm enough to properly get traction in both my 750 and Bandit. Black Ice, salt, sand etc... Be careful not to hit that stuff especially mid turn... Lol but Jim I'm on the same page as you. Definitely run some marine Stabil though...
