    Air screw, Mikuni BS carburetors

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the air screw is really the only component on the BS carbs that is sensitive to how many turns it is installed...

Just checking, as I have some carb teardowns to-do...

    Hi,

Yes, but it's actually called the "idle mixture screw".

There are also screws/lock nuts between the carbs that are used to set the butterfly valve openings during a vacuum sync.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

Be gentle with those screws- if they are stuck, search these forums for removal tips. While you're at it, drop over to Basscliff's site for proper carb cleaning procedures.
