89 GSXR 750 motor is probably the easiest "hop up" motor. GSXR1100 has been done as well but needed frame & tank mods from memory (again due to height).
Wish I'd known the 700 swinger was longer, depending on where that 1/2" is it could have helped me a lot in fitting that 5.5" wheel & 170 tyre...

Mine did that. Snapped a cam shaft in three, taking the cam chain and oil lines with it. Bought a head and used the lines and cams out of it, threw in a new chain and it's been healthy as a relatively healthy horse ever since.
Next time will most likely be a 1150 or new bike.
